I promise to post more often so that it is not just random stuff all the time
This first one was from when I went to Hawaii last year. Sunrise on top of Diamond Head Crater.
A few weeks ago my wife’s, cousins…….. oh forget it, lets just say she is part of my family on my wife’s side, got married. I wasn’t the official photographer for it, but still, it’s family, I can’t go to a wedding and not take any pictures! So I got a few good shots, leaving the majority of the work to the primary photographer. Here are a couple of mine:
When I took this picture, this is how I imagined it in my head, but really the blues of the sky were kind of dull and there were no stars, there definitely wasn’t a moon, but I fixed it with some pictures I had taken at other times. I brought up the blue in the sky to brighten it, overlayed some stars, and then added the moon. I think it turned out pretty good!
I know its a little late, and I’m a little slow at posting these, but better late than never, right?
I took these when the Fall leaves were in full color. It was a little bit of a challenge because all the yellow everywhere wanted to reflect all the color everywhere, including faces. Luckily I had a flash and softbox with me to help compensate for it.
This one makes me laugh. When I take pictures I use my monkeys to get people to laugh. It works too, not just for the kids, but adults too. I can’t tell you how many engagement sessions I have done that the monkeys have made the difference between a fake “cheese” smile, and a real smile!
It’s been a pretty busy year. I just haven’t kept up on this blog very well, but I’m going to try to do better. So in doing that I’m going to post some pictures that I was able to take today down by Utah Lake. I only got to stay part of the time of the shooting (I was not the lead shooter, just kind of an extra). Had to run and take care of something for my kids at school. Enough type, I know you are really only here to see the pictures! I really did very little processing on these pictures. One i had to straighten (crop) because for some reason I didn’t have the camera straight, but otherwise, that is how I shot them.
Had the Chance to shoot some baby twins. It’s always a challenge to shoot multiple babies because it is so hard to get them all/both smiling at the same time. There was one where one was happy and smiling and the other with the sad, almost to cry face. I will try to post more later, but for now here is one.
